Kasalan 2008 - Epilogue

Kasalan 2008

Sorry we can't post more since we have been so busy with this event. However, that is just an excuse so that we can invite you to come over and see us there. 8-8-8

The number eight (8) is a lucky number for the Chinese. The last upstroke when you write the number which symbolizes prosperity, as well as its symbol for infinity bears special meaning for wedding couples wanting to make their love and marriage last a lifetime.

So it must be especially meaningful when the date has three eights (8) in its number. That date is August (8) 8, 2008, a date so fortuitous in fact that couples have been planning to get married by this date, years before. So lucky business in the wedding industry has been booked on this date so well in advance their no longer taking any reservations.

We have our own wedding event for this date and we were tasked to style the wedding itself at the prestigious Monte de Portofino along Daang Hari going to Cavite.

We did our very best to make this outdoor wedding as memorable for the couple as it is for us. Please see for yourself what a few flowers and a nice stylistic touch can do to a wedding venue. Touche!

New Designs

Its been a hectic month for us this August. We had two weddings within days of each other. The first one last August 6 from an avant garde couple not hesitant to try out new and interesting designs for the bridal bouquet and florals for the entire entourage.

Frankly, we dont retreat from a good challenge and we present to you some of the work we 've done. Please try a little bit of daring for your wedding as well and when your ready don't hesitate to give us a call to make your vision of a one of a kind wedding a reality!

Roderick and Rubelyn Nuptials

Roderick and Rubelyn, nicknamed Bong and Baby to their friends and family recently tied the knot last April 19. They wanted the best possible visuals of the memorable event at a price that wont break their budget.

They sought the help of Buds and Blooms and we were only to happy to oblige. We took care of the photography and videography of the event for them and all of this in a package that even the newlyweds admitted were affordable.

Needless to say the new couple were very happy with the results.



And so to the beautiful couple, best wishes!!!

Love is in the air

With February just around the corner, Valentines day is surely a few weeks away. It would be fool hardy to wait until the last minute to order your flowers and keepsakes for your special someone. How many times have we been in panic as we frantically search for shops to buy flowers only to discover (much to our dismay) the high prices both for the flowers as well as the delivery charges?

It would be a good idea to scout for flower shops this early or even a few weeks before valentines day so that at least you can have a basic idea on what arrangements they have on offer. Ask them what prices they usually sell their flowers at valentines day so you can compare prices from different shops. Also ask them their delivery policy and charges as early as possible.

Asking future prices for flowers now, is however not a sure fire way of nailing the price of a particular flower arrangement on valentines day. Flowers just as any consumable that has a definite "shelf life" have prices that fluctuate wildly especially at special occasions such as Valentines day. A price of a flower now can double or maybe even triple when Valentines day arrives.

One good idea is to order the flowers three or even four days prior to Valentines. Flowers ordered from 3 to 4 days prior can net you significant discounts. Ordering a day before Valentines day is a guarantee of frustration because of lack of availability of flowers and the inevitable high prices.

So shop informed and shop wisely. Here is a couple of ideas on flowers you can get at our shop. Also remember that variety is the spice of love. Always sending her red flowers is fine initially but can get a bit boring as time (and your relationship) matures...
